About
New York City attorney Allen Bodner prepared for his long career by earning both his bachelor’s degree and law degree from Columbia University. In addition to his work as an attorney, he has taught as an adjunct professor at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, delivered lectures on topics such as the Dreyfus Affair, and authored articles in publications such as Midstream Magazine. For his contributions to Jewish education and culture, Allen Bodner received the Jerusalem Prize, one of the highest honors available to lay people in the diaspora, presented by the president of Israel.
In his legal career, Allen Bodner draws upon years of experience both as a solo practitioner and as a member of small firms. Currently, he operates his own practice in which he focuses on corporate and real estate law and limited partnerships. Additionally, for the past two decades, he has served as counsel to the New York real estate development company Cammeby’s international.
An effective litigator, Mr. Bodner has argued many important case, including several that re-shaped current law. In one federal case in the Southern District of New York, he successfully argued that innocent art sellers should not lose their pieces if one of their agents fraudulently imports pieces for them into the United States.
